Original Duran Duran Line-Up Meet Fans And Sign Copies Of Their New Single "(Reach Up For The) Sunrise"

To celebrate the release of (Reach Up For The) Sunrise, which is
currently racing up the UK charts, the five original members of DURAN DURAN flew
into the UK on Monday October 4th to sign copies of their new single at
the premiere HMV stores in both Birmingham and London.

Hitting both stores in one day, DURAN DURAN were at HMV's Birmingham
High Street store from 12:30pm to 2:30pm on Monday October 4th, and then
later the same day at HMV's flagship Oxford Street store in London from
6.00pm: 7:30pm

(Reach Up For The) Sunrise, is the band's first single from their
eagerly anticipated album ASTRONAUT which is set for release 11th October 2004
on Epic Records.

ASTRONAUT is Duran Duran's first studio album back together, with the
original line-up of Simon LeBon, Nick Rhodes Andy Taylor, John Taylor
and Roger Taylor, since "Seven & The Ragged Tiger" in 1983. The album has
been co-produced by Duran Duran with Don Gilmore (Good Charlotte, Linkin
Park, Avril Lavigne, Pearl Jam) and Dallas Austin (Madonna, Christina
Aguilera, TLC, Usher, Pink and George Clinton).

Over the past year, alongside writing and recording for the new record,
Duran Duran have performed live to more than half a million fans, with
a series of sell out arena and stadium concerts across America, Japan,
Australia and the UK. During this time, the band members have also been
honoured with no less than three prestigious Lifetime Achievement
awards - presented to them by MTV, the British Phonographic Industry and Q
Magazine. Commenting on the forthcoming in-store appearances by the band, a Duran
Duran spokesman said: "We are expecting Duran Duran's dedicated army of
fans to turn out in force as both HMV stores have already been inundated by
phone calls, based on rumours of the band's appearance that spread like
wild-fire last week. The band members are keen to meet as many people as possible
so will only be able to sign one item per person. We would recommend
getting there early!"
