Show 2006

This year’s Classic Motor Show, the UK ’s biggest and best classic
motoring event takes place at Birmingham ’s NEC, from Friday 27th
to Sunday 29th October 2006.
Spanning five halls and half-a-million square feet, the Classic
Motor Show boasts a display of over 1,000 amazing classic and rare
cars from all eras, ranging from Ford Capris to Ferraris, Sunbeam
Alpines to Super performance Lamborghinis, Peugeots to Porsches,
Morris Minors to Masseratis! Over 150 classic car clubs will display
the weird and the wonderful, the rare and the retro. Marques from
all over the world will be represented and from all forms of
motoring – from historic motor racing cars to unusual hearses made
for mourning! Everything from everyday road cars to military vans,
high performance supercars to quirky novelty motors.
TV MOTORING EXPERTS MIKE AND MARK HOST CLASSIC
PARADES, CAR CLINICS AND GAMESHOWS IN NEW LOOK SEMINAR THEATRE
Television motoring experts
Mike Brewer
and Mark Evans will be hosting interactive seminars, classic car
parades and clinics in the new look seminar theatre at this year’s
Classic Motor Show, held from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th
October 2006 at the NEC, Birmingham. Presenters Mike and Mark will
combine their motoring knowledge with lively audience participation
and provide an insight into classic motoring for visitors to the
UK’s biggest and best classic motoring extravaganza.
Ex-car trader
Mike Brewer
has spent most of his 38 years selling thousands of motor vehicles
and is perhaps best known as the presenter of motoring shows such as
Channel 4’s Deals on Wheels, ITV’s Pulling Power and Discovery
Realtime’s Wheeler Dealer. He’s about to hit our screens again with
a brand new show called AutoTrader, airing on Discovery Realtime on
10th October 2006.
Another star of Discovery Realtime is restoration specialist Mark
Evans, presenter of the ‘… Is Born’ series. Mark has restored
everything from a classic MG to a Harley Davidson, a Land Rover to a
Helicopter and is currently filming a massive vehicle restoration
documentary that will take place over the next year and see Mark
travel all over Europe. With over 1000 shows under his belt,
covering a wide range of subjects and programme styles, Mark is one
of the UK's most experienced TV presenters.
Mike and Mark will present the cars that have been chosen as the
‘Designs of the Decade’ as they are paraded across the stage in our
drive-in seminar theatre as well as giving advice on buying, selling
and restoring various marques in our Classic Car Clinics. Visitors
will also get the chance to put their motoring questions to our
motoring experts before Mike and Mark turn the tables and become the
question masters as we recreate your favourite gameshows and give
the audience the chance to win an array of prizes.
The Classic Motor Show has everything for the motoring enthusiast,
be it classic motoring clubs, expert mechanical advice, rare tools
and spare parts or just the opportunity to see some amazing marques
at close proximity. Over 1,000 amazing classic and rare cars will be
on display from all eras, ranging from Ford Capris to Ferraris,
Sunbeam Alpines to Super performance Lamborghinis, Peugeots to
Porsches, Morris Minors to Maseratis! The Classic Motor Show also
includes a restoration theatre, the popular autojumble and ‘Dream
Rides’.
Visitors also have the chance to have a ride in their dream car
courtesy of the Sporting Bears. The Bears offer you a ten-mile ride
as a passenger in exchange for a donation to charity. The cars
available range from a Vintage Bentley to Ferraris and Porsches,
depending on the amount of money you donate. All funds raised at the
Classic Motor Show will go to help children’s charities in the
Midlands.
The Classic Motor Show is a must for any motoring enthusiast -
whether you dream of driving a fast car, want to take a stroll down
memory lane or fancy getting your hands dirty under the bonnet! For
