The idea is to educate people about the Akita dog, which is very cute as a puppy but very
powerful as an adult. 
We have dog agility and sledding, with dogs shows and lectures. 
Food and refreshments are available. 
Last year over 700 people attended from all over the country and this year we are more than
hopeful this will be more than doubled.   
All profits go to the Japanese Akita Welfare Trust which badly needs funds to continue its work.
Because these dogs need lots of training and are so powerful, people buy them as cute
puppies but cannot control them as adults they end up either being put down or end up at the
Welfare Trust. 
So, why not come along and learn more about this interesting breed .
