MONTOYA FLIES IN FROM BMW WilliamsF1 TEST
FOR NEC APPEARANCE

Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya has chosen the World's Number One Racing Car
Show to make his first British public appearance since joining the BMW
WilliamsF1 team. Montoya will fly in from an extensive three-day test
programme with his new team to star at the Autosport International show at
Birmingham's NEC on Saturday 13 January 2001.

Montoya has replaced Jenson Button to join German Ralf Schumacher at the BMW
WilliamsF1 Team after a brilliant last three years that has paved his way to
join the motorsport elite. His FIA F3000 Championship victory in 1998, with
seven wins to his credit, was just the start of his career.  The very next
year he moved stateside and won the ChampCar series at the first attempt.
He followed this with a debut visit to the world-acclaimed Indy 500 race at
the famous Brickyard and became the first 'rookie' winner since Graham Hill
back in 1966.

Montoya's talent has always impressed Frank Williams and his elevation to
Grand Prix status is already creating massive interest among the F1
fraternity but none can doubt his ability and potential.

Montoya has a reputation for speaking his mind and will emphasise his
determination to endorse Frank Williams' faith in him when he meets the fans
at the NEC. He has already inquired about a host of activities at the show
and is really looking forward to a busy day in Birmingham.

Public access to Autosport International 2001 is restricted to Saturday and
Sunday (January 13-14) with press and trade access on Thursday and Friday
(11-12). Adult entry prices for the show are £13 with British Eurosport
Thunderdrome tickets at £10 on the day, £7 in advance.

MAJOR EXHIBITORS CONFIRMED FOR AUTOSPORT INTERNATIONAL

As the motor racing season comes to a close, the biggest names in motorsport are gearing up for the major attraction of the new season, Autosport International at the NEC, Birmingham on January 11th-14th. The four-day exhibition will host 550 major names from across the world including Ford, CART, Yokohama, Prodrive, Goodyear, Cosworth, Interactive Motorsport, Dunlop, Rockingham Motor Speedway and Lola Cars.

And, in the new addition to the main show, Bikesport International will see such names as Honda, Yamaha and the Red Bull Ducatti team.  The show, which features two dedicated trade and press days (Thursday and Friday) and two specific consumer days (Saturday and Sunday), is now in its eleventh year and has gone from strength to strength during the last ten years.

Each year, more and more people attend the show with over 83,000 visitors pouring through the doors last year.  To cater for the huge demand in consumer interest, the show presenter Haymarket Exhibitions Ltd has increased the area with the addition of another hall to further improve public access around the show and to cater for the new areas.

As well as the static stands, Autosport International will feature F1 cars from McLaren, Williams and Arrows, live public launches on the Autosport Central Stage, race and rally action in the Thunderdrome, in association with Eurosport, off-road activity in the Motoring News Short Circuit and Rallycross Show, a stunning collection of cars in the Coys of Kensington Auction and a whole lot more.

Combined show entry and Thunderdrome tickets can be purchased in advance
from the NEC Ticket Hotline number 0870 264 4444 or from the show website
www.autosport-international.com where further details of all areas of the
show are also available.
