BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIPS 2004
AT THE NIA

The Yonex All England Badminton Championships, the big event in UK badminton takes place at The NIA from Wednesday 10 to Sunday 14 March.  A bumper entry of the world’s best players is expected at the event as in addition to its prestige and prize money the Championship carries important Olympic qualifying points.  Yet more reason for the worlds best to play in the prestigious grand prix tournament. 

The great Malaysian Singles players Roslin and Hafiz Hashim have the chance to continue their great rivalry but first they have to stop the great Chinese player Chen Hong, with his huge smash and the recently crowned 2003 NIA world Champion Xia Xuanze.  Also vying for the All England Men’s singles Championships will be Danish star Peter Gade. 

Representing England will be Nathan Robertson and Gail Emms who have just won the Thailand Open and who played fantastically well in reaching the final of the Malaysian Open and Semi-finals of the Indonesian Open.  Make sure you’re there to see if they can reach their first All England final!
