Would you like to see THE BIGGEST MOTORSPORT / MOTOR SPECTACULAR THIS COUNTRY HAS EVER SEEN on  the streets of Birmingham? We have had to have a major rethink of our plans to bring back motor racing, but have come up with something potentially even more spectacular. We are trying to bring together as many individuals, businesses and organisations as we can to try to make this happen again. It could bring huge benefits to the region, but it needs as much support as possible to make it happen. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE, VIEW VIDEO & PHOTOS FROM THE OLD SUPER PRIX, AND TO SEE HOW YOU CAN HELP BRING ABOUT THIS SENSATIONAL AND UNIQUE EVENT.

MIDSUMMER BIG BAND MUSIC EVENING
SUNDAY 13 JUNE 2004

 Westbourne Road,
Edgbaston
Birmingham
B15 3TR
0121 454 1860

Making a welcome return to the Botanical Gardens, N.C. BIG BAND presents continuous music from 6.30pm through to 10.00pm CELEBRATING ALL THAT’S GREAT FROM THE 1930s onwards, from Tommy Dorsey, Harry James and Glen Miller to Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Buddy Rich, plus many other vocal hits from Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald to name but a few.

Lead vocalist Terry Smith and the dazzling female vocalist Ruth Lowe will entertain us with hit songs from the Great American Songbook!

Bring a picnic, rug or low chair and enjoy the laid back atmosphere of your Botanical Gardens.  The Society celebrates 175 years this year and all proceeds will go towards maintaining the Gardens in the seasonal splendour, peace and tranquillity we have all come to love and expect.

Many of us enjoy a summer evening picnic with quality music in a safe and pleasant environment.  Therefore, we have organised this event, for the very reasonable price of £10.
