AT THE INTERNATIONAL CLASSIC MOTOR SHOW
UK’s largest classic event welcomes Sir Stirling Moss to open its seven new halls of motoring treats at the November show. Birmingham’s International Classic Motor Show takes place on 8 and 9 November 2003 in halls 7 – 12 & 16 at the NEC and boasts over 1000 classic cars and nearly 200 car clubs all under one roof. This year’s event will be officially opened by Sir Stirling Moss OBE, who will meet, greet and sign autographs for visitors in the brand new Classic Motor Show theatre area. Three classic buses, dating back from the 1940s will transport visitors from the car parks to the International Classic Motor Show. The buses, all from the Birmingham and Midland Museum of Transport include: a classic Guy Arab IV double-decker from 1953, a splendid Midland Red BMMO double-decker dating back to 1965 and a beautifully restored late 40s single-decker Bristol. New for 2003 is a classic cars for sale feature, which, with some 300 classics on display at bargain prices, promises to be an opportunity not to be missed. Visitors can book a space in the dedicated sale hall for just £50 for one day or £80 for the weekend, and have their classic seen by 40,000 of Britain’s most devoted car enthusiasts.
Visitors to the 2003 show can enjoy the finest and largest display of
classic motor cars under one roof, comprising a diverse range of national
and international marques from Porsche to Morris and Ferrari to Vauxhall
which will be represented by nearly 200 car clubs, features and classics
for sale. A number of UK Classic Dealerships will be offering a stunning
collection of dream cars for sale, where there will be something for all
tastes and budgets.
The three major concours finals will honour some outstanding examples of classic motor cars in the Jaguar Drivers Club, Classic American and Autoglym competitions. Live restoration demonstrations covering a wide range of techniques, and offering on the spot advice and tips will be run throughout the two days, and a visit to the show would not be complete without perusing the UK’s largest indoor autojumble. Here you’ll find those parts, accessories, manuals, literature, art, memorabilia, models and products demonstrations that you have been searching for. The show is open from 9.30am until 6.30pm on Saturday and 9.30am until 5.30pm on Sunday.
