Concorde to visit Birmingham on its final Tour of Britain

Concorde is to fly into Birmingham on Monday October 20th as part of its last week in service with British Airways. British Airways is taking it out of service with its last flight from New York to Heathrow on October 24th. In the days before then however, as part of Concorde’s final week in commercial service she will embark on a celebratory Tour of Britain.

Concorde will leave from London Heathrow each weekday from 20 October 2003 and visit 5 major UK cities. Whilst there, British Airways will open an exclusive Concorde exhibition, just for that day. The cities Concorde will visit are Manchester, Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff and Edinburgh.

More details will follow soon but the provisional times we have been told are for Concorde to land at 11.40, and take off at 16.05. These times have still to be confirmed officially so check again nearer the time to make sure if you are one of the thousands expected to go along for a final site of this truly beautiful aircraft.
