Artistic Flair and Creative Ideas Aplenty!

Crafts for Christmas, Art Materials Live and Hobbycrafts
 NEC, Birmingham
Thursday 9th to Sunday 12th November 2006.

Craft enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice at The International Craft & Hobby Fair (ICHF) quality craft, fine art and hobby craft shows in Birmingham this autumn with a vast selection of beautiful gifts for Christmas and the home, coupled with the ultimate hobby supplies show!

ICHF celebrates a remarkable achievement this year, with the 21st anniversary of Crafts for Christmas the successful Christmas gift and ideas show, which runs alongside Art Materials Live and the award winning Hobbycrafts show at the NEC, Birmingham from Thursday 9th to Sunday 12th November 2006. What’s more, visitors get entry to 3 superb shows for the price of 1 making this day out incredible value for money!

Visitors can browse among hundreds of quality crafts and original handmade gifts at the four-day Crafts for Christmas. Christmas shopping starts early here, with many beautiful and unusual gifts produced by over 200 designers and artists from around the UK. Find hand carved wooden tree decorations, bespoke silk bags, hand rolled felt scarves and original artworks that can only be found at the show.

In the Crafts for Christmas specialist Food Court visitors will find the most scrumptious delights and hand made delicacies to sample and buy including fruit wine and liqueurs, individual waxed cheeses, home made chutneys and curry sauces, hand rolled savoury pies and handmade liquorice!

In 2005 ICHF launched Art Materials Live, a dedicated art supplies show featuring a wealth of workshops, talks, demonstrations and displays from popular professional artists from the UK. Following the show’s success, it returns in 2006 with more than 50 exhibitors from across the art spectrum providing visitors with all the latest equipment, ideas and know-how helping them create their very own work of art.

Be the first to try out the latest products with new product launches plus all those hard to find supplies including the latest kits, tools and equipment for artist materials including fine art pencils, digital art papers, brushes and watercolour paints from suppliers such as Daler-Rowney, Pebeo, Derwent and many more, so artists are sure to find exactly what they need!

Creative Crafters will discover exciting and inspiring ideas for Christmas at the award winning Hobbycrafts show, the largest creative art and hobby show in the UK. Readers voted in their thousands for the first Crafts Beautiful and Quick & Crafty! Magazine Craft Awards in 2005 and voted Hobbycrafts as the ‘Best Exhibition’.

Simon Burns, Head of ICHF Marketing said, “ICHF is both thrilled and proud to win this award. It is recognition for all the hard work ICHF and all of our exhibitors put in to make Hobbycrafts the successful show it is today. Crafters can get so much out of a visit to Hobbycrafts with thousands of creative craft supplies, new product launches, expert advice from professional crafters, hands on workshops and live demonstrations – it’s the ultimate craft experience not to be missed!”

More than 170 craft companies will showcase all the latest creative products and know-how, some of which will be new to the UK market. Here crafters will find an incredible selection of new and established crafts from Europe and the USA including supplies for scrap booking, parchment craft and card making.

Visit the Quick & Easy mini-workshops where craft enthusiasts are actively encouraged to roll up their sleeves and have a go at a new craft under expert tuition. Here visitors can learn a new technique in a relaxed environment among other fellow crafters. Watch the many fascinating demonstrations taking place throughout the show presented in a lively interactive fashion by friendly resident experts, professional demonstrators and Guild representatives.

Come and enjoy these creative shows crammed with original gifts, fresh ideas and supplies for hundreds of different craft techniques - these two amazing exhibitions are guaranteed to educate, inspire and entertain!
