HAGLEY HALL - STOURBRIDGE - WEST MIDLANDS

FRIDAY JUNE 22nd - SATURDAY JUNE 23rd - SUNDAY JUNE 24th 2001

A visit to the prestigous Elegant Homes and Gardens Show at Hagley Hall can provide visitors with an exclusive accessory or an elegant piece of furniture to give their home added style whilst quality exhibitors will be anxious to show visitors the very latest design ideas for the home and some of the most stylish traditional furniture available.

The setting for this show is the historic Hagley Hall At Stourbridge. George, first Lord of Lyttleton and descendant of a long established Worcestershire family, commissioned in 1756 the creation of the last great Palladian mansion in England, Hagley Hall, its design destined to impress by size, perfect proportions and exotic Rococo decoration.

The Barrel Room has panelling and over-mantel (c1585) salvaged from the old Hagley Hall where two of Guy Fawkes' co-conspirators from the Gunpowder Plot were caught and later hung, drawn and quartered.

Temples, cascading pools and a ruined castle, make the park one of the finest most picturesque in the Country.
