The Show That Helps You Catch More Fish

THE angling event of the year - Angling Times Go Fishing 2003 – is to be held at the NEC on 28 – 30th March. The show is being organised by Emap Active, the publishing company behind the UK’s biggest selling Angling magazines: Angling Times, Improve Your Coarse Fishing, Sea Angler and Match Angling Plus.

The driving forces behind events planned for the rejuvenated Angling Times Go Fishing 2003 are expertise, knowledge and customer involvement. Angling Times Go Fishing 2003 will therefore be the only show where visitors can mingle with the experts, meet with major manufacturers and buy equipment, and experience new interactive features. Highlights include: Discovery Home & Leisure Channel will be in attendance holding auditions amongst visitors to be the next face of fishing on TV. Shark Attack is a specially constructed interactive simulator that will give visitors the chance to hook the fish of their dreams in landlocked Birmingham.

Anglers will experience the thrill of battling with the biggest fish in the oceans. Anglers’ Challenge is a ‘mocked-up’ set, stocked with coarse fish and landscaped to provide a cross ‘section’ of a typical commercial fishery. The audience will be able to actively participate as the Angling Times team roam among the crowd giving visitors the opportunity to put their questions to angling celebrities like Matt Hayes and Bob Nudd. An ‘Ask the Experts’ studio and many more events mean visitors will be able to come face-to-face with Britain’s top fishing stars and manufacturers, and will leave the show armed with a wealth of information to help them catch more fish. Qualified PAA coaches will be at the show demonstrating the basics of angling to help visitors improve their skills, including coaching classes specifically for kids with entry to the show free to children.

• To book tickets in advance and save £1.50 on the normal price call the hotline on 0870 730 0062. Advance Tickets cost £7.50 with kids under 16 going free; plus concessions. There is a transaction fee of 75p per booking and car parking is £6 on the day.
