Footloose
The Musical tells the story of  teenager Ren, who is forced to move from Chicago to Beaumont, a small repressed town ruled over by its strict minister, where dancing is banned. Determined to change Beaumont for the better, Ren sets about bringing dancing and life back to the town.

Adapted from the 1984 smash hit movie with a soundtrack which went multi platinum in record time and featured six top 40 hits, Footloose is packed with memorable songs, including Holding Out For A Hero, Let's Hear It For The Boy and of course Footloose.

Direct from a smash hit run in the West End, Footloose is full of explosive, fast paced dance routines which must surely set everyone's feet tapping.

Footloose stars Matthew Boulton as Ren and Miria Parvin as Ariel, the Minister's daughter, supported by a strong and talented cast, including Lyn Paul as Ariel's mother and Johnny Shentall (ex Hearsay) as Chuck. Matthew Boulton returned to the role of Ren on Monday evening (the performance we saw) after a three month absence due to a knee injury which he suffered earlier this year. He will share the part of Ren with Derek Hough for the Wolverhampton run.

Written by Dean Pitchford (responsible for the screenplay and lyrics for the film version of Footloose) and Walter Bobbie, and directed and choreographed by Olivier award winner Karen Bruce.

A great night out - you will go home energised and singing the songs!
