Ever wondered what happened to your classmates, your first love or the school sports star? Ever wondered if the swot became a doctor or the beauty queen became a model? Well it would seem that many of you do. With over 15 million members signed up to the original and most fascinating school reunion site, FriendsReunited.co.uk, it seems there is an unquenchable thirst for revisiting the good old days.

After seven years uniting friends online, the internet giant is setting out on the road for the first ever series of Big School Reunions. Bringing the concept to life, the events are set to tantalise school leavers of all ages and reunite them with their formative years against a nostalgic musical backdrop.

RICK VAUGHN

Big School Reunion has joined forces with Birmingham’s leading radio station BRMB to bring the City an authentic taste of yesteryear. Opening its doors on Friday 4th May at The Works, this event will transport you back to your childhood with a glittering selection of music from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. BRMB’s drivetime presenter RICK VAUGHN will join Big School Reunion residents PELE, and THE BIG ‘O’ to spin classic anthems, getting you in the mood for a night of pure abandon. This is set to be the best school reunion imaginable – and all you have to do is turn up!

By tapping into its vast database, Friends Reunited will be creating brilliant bespoke events for each city they visit. School photos will hang from the walls and plasma screens will beam out TV programmes from years gone by. Venues will be themed with stunning decor plus a kitsch but quality tuck-shop will be selling classic sweets to really awaken those taste buds and heighten the senses. This will take you back to your youth like never before and who knows, maybe you’ll see some old faces and a few surprises along the way as you take a fun filled trip down memory lane. You will also be able to update your Friends Reunited profile at the event with images and messages, creating instant memories.

So, whether you’re already a member or haven’t yet joined the phenomenon, head straight to www.friendsreunited.co.uk to find out all about this fantastic event.

Whether you want to satisfy your curiosity, contact an old friend or even make new ones, this is an unmissable event for anyone who ever went to school.
