CHECK OUT SLAM DUNKIN’ ACTION WITH THE HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS AT THE NIA

This is your chance to win tickets and witness fantastic slam dunkin’ action at The NIA this spring as the greatest entertainers in sport, the Harlem Globetrotters bounce into Birmingham on Saturday 20 May with their 80th World Tour.

Celebrating 80 consecutive years of bringing their unique brand of basketball and entertainment to fans all over the world, the Globetrotters performed to a record crowd at The NIA in 2003 and their game against the New York Nationals on 20 May is sure to excite Birmingham fans once again.

Living up to their billing as ‘unstoppable’ and the ‘greatest barnstorming team ever’, the Globetrotters will continue their tradition of introducing new and amazing ball handling and comedy routines while keeping the timeless classics.  They’ll also be holding meet and greet sessions after every game allowing fans a chance to get autographs and to interact with the players.

The Harlem Globetrotters were founded in 1926 by Englishman Abe Saperstein and grew to become a global phenomenon bringing people together all over the world with their brand of comedy and athleticism, which has overcome both social and racial barriers.

The 2006 Unstoppable world tour, which launched in the USA late December, sees the Globetrotters play in 41 states for four months before heading to Europe.

The current squad includes Michael ‘Wild Thing’ Wilson who holds the Guinness World Record for a 12ft vertical slam dunk and it’s hoped that Wilson will be in the squad heading for Birmingham.

Tickets priced from £15.00 - £30.00 plus booking and transaction fee can be purchased on-line at www.necgroup.co.uk or from The NIA Box Office on 0870 909 4144.
