INSPIRATION FOR THE HOME

Looking for inspiration for the home? Then plan a day at theBBC Good Homes Show, running at the NEC in Birmingham from 9 – 13 May 2001.

The show is the perfect opportunity to find new ideas and get tips from the experts and brings together all aspects for creating a new look for your home – both inside and out.

DIY workshops will be held throughout the show in three studios, where visitors can learn the tricks of the trade from BBC Good Homes Show experts.  For the home, , Linda Barker, Andy Kane and the team will be on hand with interior design tips, and Tommy Walsh will be providing inspirational and practical garden ideas. In addition, Bob Grose and Brigid Calderhead from popular TV show, DIY SOS, will be recreating the first three DIY disaster makeovers from their new series.

Split in to ten zones featuring living and dining, bedrooms, outdoor living, decorating and accessories, as well as the fabulous Miller Homes show house, the Show will provide a unique shopping experience offering the latest ideas for decoration and furnishing, plus all of the advice needed to turn ideas into reality.

This year also sees the addition of the New Homes and Property zone at the Show, offering visitors the chance to get independent financial advice, speak to mortgage advisors, get tips on finding the right estate agent or even buy a new home.

With exhibitors ranging from major high street names to niche shops, and all under one roof, the show promises to be the biggest and best to date. 

Advance tickets for the show cost only £7.50 or are available on the day for £8.50.  Entry for children under 14 is free (must be accompanied by an adult) and there will be a crèche available.
