Everything Must Go!
Decade of Music Memorabilia Under the Hammer

Fancy a pair of Brian McFadden’s Socks, a Celine Dion gold disk, or a signed photograph of Robin Gibb? Well now you can bid for them and more as part of Chrysalis Radio’s 10th anniversary celebrations. 100.7 Heart fm, the Midlands’ biggest radio station, has been stripping its walls of 10 years worth of music memorabilia for a charity sale and auction which will be filmed and televised in a special edition of the ITV1 antique and collectables show Everything Must Go!, produced by Birmingham based company Hotbed Media. Money raised will be used by 100.7 Heart fm’s charity for Mums and newborns, ‘First Steps.’, to provide vital life-saving equipment for Birmingham City Children’s Hospital

The programme, which will air nationwide in December, will be shot in and around the West Midlands. Everyone in the 100.7 Heart fm region can get involved by having a clear out at home or work and donating jumble, bric-a-brac and collectable items to be sold at a huge Everything Must Go! sale which will be held from 4.00 – 8.00pm on Monday 13th September at the Symphony Hall in the centre of Birmingham.

Donations of items for the sale can be taken to drop off centres around the region at the following locations:

The sale at Symphony Hall is open to the public so if you fancy picking up a bargain, taking part in the filming and helping to support a great cause we’d love to see you there. Items of music and sporting memorabilia and exclusive signed merchandising will also be up for grabs and there’s the chance to meet some special celebrity guests.

On the evening of Tuesday 14th September a whole range of incredible lots will go under the hammer at a special charity auction to be held at Birmingham Blue’s ground St. Andrews. 100.7 Heart fm will be giving memorabilia including signed photographs, gold disks and personal items from Cher, Beverley Craven, Brian McFadden, Celine Dion, Annie Lennox, Oxide and Neutrino, Westlife, Darius, Blue, Lisa Stansfield, Van Morrison, Shania Twain, Faith Hill, LeeAnn Rhymes, Mike and the Mechanics. The Finn Brothers (Crowded House), Darren Hayes (Savage Garden), Robin Gibb, Gary Barlow and many more - there will also be a chance to bid for the once in a lifetime opportunity to present your own hour-long radio show on 100.7 Heart fm.

Other ITV shows including Coronation Street and Emmerdale have contributed signed merchandising and unique collectable items including original scripts and props whilst Birmingham City Football Club and their players are donating a range of collectable memorabilia and autographed personal items for the sale. National and local companies have lent their support too - generously donating a range of great items to be auctioned off in support of the appeal.

The ten-year-old station, 100.7 Heart fm and Everything Must Go! hope to raise enough money to help the Poppy Fields appeal, set up by the parents of 18 month old Poppy Guilder who is currently undergoing treatment for a brain tumour, to provide the Diana Princess of Wales Children’s Hospital in Birmingham with intensive care equipment that will help ease the suffering of little Poppy and the hundreds of other children who undergo life-saving treatment at the world famous hospital.

Breakfast Show presenter, Ed James commented: “I met Poppy at Birmingham Children’s Hospital and was so touched by her story. I am so thrilled that our dusty old discs will be sold for such a good cause. All I can do is urge everyone to look in their loft for things to donate to the sale and let’s help more sick children get the help they need!”

Anyone who would like further details about the sale or the auction and companies interested in featuring in the programme by donating items to be sold at the auction should contact Tiffany Ballou on 0121 248 3904.
