Johnny Cash was America’s most beloved music icon. DemonVision released their DVD - Johnny Cash “The Unauthorised Biography” on 13th March. This is Cash’s real story - a visual journey through the life of the man, and his music. An in-depth exploration of all the facets of a truly larger than life ‘walking contradiction’, from the comical to the deeply religious, to the darkest side of the Man In Black.

For many people Cash, whose career spanned almost 50 years, was the personification of country music. However, he influenced many genres and is one of only a handful of artists to be inducted into both the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

This DVD contains several bonus features including: tours of Johnny and June’s home in Hendersonville, Tennessee, and of Johnny’s private recording studio as well as exclusive interviews with Johnny’s brother, Tommy Cash, and his drummer, W.S. Holland.

Cash has been hitting the headlines as the Hollywood epic Walk The Line is about to be released in the UK. The movie has already picked up 3 Golden Globes and is nominated for 2 BAFTAs: for best actor (Joaquin Phoenix) and best actress (Reese Witherspoon.) Walk The Line has high OSCAR hopes at the 2006 Academy Awards – the ceremony takes place the day before the DVD release.
