Win tickets to the Lovebox at Air Sunday 27th May

On the May bank holiday 2007 Lovebox will be heading north to Birmingham to celebrate its fifth birthday, bringing a small slice of the Lovebox vibe to another great city.
Air is preparing to turn itself into a giant alfresco disco. The party will also burst  outside of the venue into the surrounding area which will be spectacularly transformed into a clubbing playground with mighty sound systems and state-of-the-art production
Although Lovebox can’t bring the whole 30 acre parkland and ALL the acts from London, it will be cherry  picking enough of the best dance acts from the UK and abroad to fill three indoor dance floors. This fantastic live show will feature Groove Armada with brand new material from their forthcoming album. They will be accompanied by Deep Dish, Jazzy Jeff, Calvin Harris Live, Plump DJs, Fabio, Freeform 5, Sugardaddy and more acts to be announced shortly. Galaxy Radio will also broadcast the event live over the airwaves in what is expected to roadblock the streets of Birmingham.Outdoors, a whopping live stage will host some very hot new bands alongside the odd living legend; and once the sun has set the mighty Groove Armada with full live band will finish the day with a bang, dropping a whole load of tracks from the new album and with a healthy number of classics.

What began 5 years ago as Groove Armada’s UK club residency Lovebox has grown into London’s only real fully fledged and independent festival; last year attracting 40,000 partygoers to a 30 acre wonderland with live stages, dance tents, fabulous food stalls, cocktail bars and cabaret all set to a wide & varied soundtrack lovingly curated by its esteemed hosts.

“When we were offered the chance to bring Lovebox and the band for an outdoor live gig and party that's unique within our UK tour, we both both jumped at the chance: perfect city, perfect venue, perfect line up, the perfect party crowd ........perfect all round' said Andy Cato and Tom Findlay from Groove Armada.

With a 3pm start time, party goers will be able to drift in and have some great gourmet food straight from the Barbie, soak up some rays with their live funk before getting into something heavier. Alternatively they can just get stuck straight into some serious dance floor action before cooling off outside. But whatever is chosen from the big musical menu the day is a guaranteed corker with Lovebox spreading the love.
