WIN TICKETS TO MODEL EXPO ’05 AT THE NEC

Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 July

 


Model Expo ’05, will return to The NEC, Birmingham on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 July, where you can feast your eyes on the very best in modelling including static and radio controlled vehicles.

Model Expo is fast becoming the No.1 choice for model enthusiasts across the country. Whether it be Radio Controlled Cars, Planes, Helicopters, Hovercrafts, Boats or Marine Modelling, Die-cast, Model Railways, Plastic Kits, Slot Cars or Static Models, at Model Expo ’05 you get it all under one roof!

Leading names from across the industry will be showcasing their vehicles and skills, including CML, Tamiya, HPI, Horizon, Century, Amerang, Traxxas, Schumacher, Hornby, Scalectrix, the BMFA and BRCA to name but a few. With a host of displays and interactive demonstrations together with the inclusion of an indoor and outdoor race track, indoor and outdoor flying, showcase arena, model boat pool and detailed railway layouts, Model Expo ’05 is a great day out for all the family.

New features for this year’s event include a high-powered demonstration from stunt driving legend Russ Swift in his Mitsubishi Evo alongside a radio controlled replica. Russ is the British Autotest Champion, holds the Guiness World Record for parking and regularly performs handbrake turns and doughnut spins on TV programmes such as Top Gear and Driven.

3D Masters will perform a breathtaking demonstration with radio controlled helicopters guaranteed to thrill, whilst leading marine modellers such as Jotika, SHG Marine, Deans Marine, CML, Helger and George Turner Models will be making a splash in the indoor marine pool with boats of various shapes and sizes. For those who prefer something a bit more extreme, the world’s leading racers will be ‘maxbashing’ on the indoor dirt track with fuel injected cars and trucks.

From static models of classic locomotives to the latest high-speed engines, there will be an array of model trains and accessories on display. There’s also an opportunity to speak to the experts behind the biggest names in the model rail industry on how to develop your own rail network.

Railway model experts exhibiting at Model Expo ’05 include Hornby, Bachmann, LGB, Midland Counties, Warley and Cheltenham Model Centre and many more!

Tickets purchased in advance are priced £8.00 adults and £6.00 for children under 12. Tickets purchased on the door are priced £10.00 adult and £8.00 children under 12. Under 5’s go free. Family tickets (2 adults and 2 children) are also available priced £28.00 in advance and £30.00 on the door.
