A re-vamped 2004 INTERNATIONAL MOTORCYCLE  AND SCOOTER SHOW to be held at Birmingham NEC, 5-14 November, is set to get pulses racing.

PLUS web chat with Suzi Perry & FREE ticket competition

Organisers, MCI Exhibitions Ltd, plan to beef up this year's extravaganza with a number of new and improved features and initiatives. The show, covering seven halls and a staggering 56000m, will be crammed full of motorcycle and scooter manufacturers showing off their latest models complimented by a fine selection of quality retailers.

For the first time in the shows history, KTM will take to the roads of the NEC with a Supermoto demonstration and test ride. The outdoor circuit, adjacent to all halls, will offer visitors entertainment from the moment they step foot on site. A KTM specialist will also be on-hand to brief those daring visitors up for giving the biggest growing motorcycle sport a go.

A new look Race Paddock will this year display a record number of team units, 13 in total. BBC and Moto GP commentator Steve Parrish will be the voice behind the main Black Horse stage with a Pit-Stop Challenge, Man of Steel and Question of Bikes giving the public the chance to get involved. Regular fashion shows will ensure the paddock is the place to be with exhibitors taking to the catwalk showing off all the latest clothing and accessory ?must haves?.

Seven Times World Champion Dougie Lampkin will be just one of a number of big names entertaining in the 1500 all seated Trials Arena. The action will be frantic with four performances daily featuring a racing pyramid and slalom, tricks, a double quarter pipe along with colour coded seats and cheerleaders adding to the competitive spice, the arena will be absolutely buzzing with excitement.

As always the show will offer something for everyone, the Classic Village for those with a taste for the models of yesteryear, a larger Custom Extreme area showing the most amazing examples of custom design and paintwork and a Touring & Leisure section for those considering a two wheeled holiday. For teenagers, congestion charge beaters, trend setters or those considering making the move to two wheels, a dedicated ?Try a Scooter? area will allow all visitors over 16 (under supervision) the chance to try out a number of the latest models.

If racing and sport are more your thing, you can witness the most amazing motorcycle trial displays and have the chance to test out your handling skills on the Mini Moto race track. If your visit is for pure entertainment you'll no doubt be heading for the MCN Race Paddock, with teams on display from both the Moto GP and British Superbike series a must for any race fan!

Managing Director of MCI Exhibitions, Finlay McAllan, commented: "The main aim of the show is to give consumers the opportunity to see all the latest motorbikes and scooters under one roof, whilst offering maximum entertainment and interaction. For many people it's the start of a purchasing process, for others it's a chance to look, touch and test ride. With over 200,000 visitors expected to attend, it goes to show the popularity of biking in the UK and the importance of the Show as the highlight of the biking year to many riders."

The 2004 show is guaranteed to provide a great day, whether with the family, couples or mates. Bikes, scooters, babes, riders and racers - you'll find it all.
