Local Rally ace Matt Barker wins chance to compete in the prestigious Peugeot 206 Winter Cup.
CAN YOU HELP?

Matt Barker and the late Dave Pitchford dominated the 2003 205 1.9 Championship, setting more fastest stage times than any other drivers in the 2 years of the series and Matt will now receive the opportunity to compete in Peugeot's own premier one make rally championship the 206 winter cup. His prize is entry into the championship in a fully prepared Peugeot 206 for the 3 events that make up the Championship. Matt from the West Midlands is widely seen as a real talent in the rally world, winning the highly competitive Peugeot 205 Championship in only his second full year of rallying after narrowly being pushed into second place on the final stage of the previous years championship. His win in this years championship was made all the more significant as the final deciding stage was held just a few days after his co driver Dave Pitchford was tragically killed in a road accident.

To really take advantage of this great opportunity Matt now needs to raise the relatively modest amount of around £2,000 to pay for some of the running costs of his entry. This is things like hotel accommodation, tyres etc and in this respect payment in kind, where suitable, would be equally as welcome as direct financial assistance.

In return for SPONSORSHIP Matt is able to offer the opportunity to have sponsors details displayed on his car which, given the nature of his entry by winning the 205 championship, is bound to get a lot of interest from both the spectators and the media. Apart from the bonnet which will advertise the 206 cup and Total ( the sponsors) the whole of Matts car is available for display. This means that for a relatively modest outlay, possibly using payment in kind, you could have a whole side of the car for instance, or even the whole car!!

Whatever you feel you may be able to offer, Matt is prepared to be very flexible if at all possible in meeting what you would require in return.
