See Red - Donington Park

11 / 12 September 2004

See Red is a unique racing Festival celebrating all things Italian around the central focus of the world’s most evocative car producer, Ferrari. Italy comes to Donington Park with the UK’s biggest Ferrari and Historic Festival, on the same weekend as the Italian Grand Prix, but with more Ferraris and much more motor racing!
Visitors to the VSCC SeeRed event will now be able to watch the Grand Prix at Monza! This is of course in addition to the promise of an on-track demonstration of up to nine Ferrari Formula One cars many of which are from the Schumacher era. The race will be broadcast on big screens in the sumptuous surroundings of an indoor Ferrari and Maserati display in the paddock.

Confirming this attraction VSCC Chief Executive Stuart Pringle said ‘‘Early interest in SeeRed has surpassed expectations allowing us to announce further features now.’’
An essential improvement is on-line ticket booking which is now available on www.see-red.uk.com , the event’s official website. Tickets cost £13 in advance per day or £25 for a weekend ticket which are only available in advance. On the day tickets cost £15 per day.
Support from event partner, the Donington Grand Prix Collection, promises a display of cars such as the Bimotore Alfa Romeo and Maserati 8C. This will be complemented by an exhibition of modern exotic Ferraris and Maseratis by courtesy of well known local Ferrari dealers, Graypaul.

Spectators will have free and unrestricted access to the exhibition and paddocks and will be able to inspect the display of pre-war ERA racing cars whose 70th birthday is being celebrated that weekend with a commemorative ERA-only race. The SeeRed theme has sparked a strong response from many of the Italian car clubs, prominent amongst them is the Ferrari Owners Club who will have a marquee and display in the Italian Village. Denise Pitwell, Director of Aon’s Automotive Division who are supporting the Classic Car Concours, commented, ‘‘Some thirty eight clubs have now registered interest culminating in an exciting display dedicated to the Concours cars.’’
