Motorshow 2000 Motor Show opens doors to the public Today, Friday 20th October, the 2000 British International Motor Show throws open its doors allowing the public their first glimpse of the dozens of new models on display. Tens of thousands of people are expected. However, for one couple in particular it is going to be a very special day. Interior designer, Michelle O’Shea, 22, and Brian Graham, 29, will be celebrating their wedding on the Auto Trader stand at 3.30 this afternoon. The couple, old friends who had lost touch since Michelle had left college, fell in love with each other last year when they met while she was looking for a new car on Auto Trader’s website. Michelle was shocked when she turned up to view the white escort and found the owner to be an old friend. One year later Brian, a kitchen fitter, proposed and Auto Trader have invited them to have their wedding blessed on their stand at the Motor Show. After their official ceremony they will be driven from the local Hilton Hotel to the NEC in a white Rolls Royce, giving Auto Trader the perfect opportunity to celebrate their £10 million ‘Perfect Partner’ advertising campaign. Sixties icon and latter-day personal finance guru, Adam Faith, is at the Show today from 2.15. Also at the NEC is former world middle-weight champion boxer, Chris Eubank. Meanwhile, former Aston Villa goalkeeper, Mark Bosnich, now with Manchester United, is back in Birmingham and at the Show today. And there’s more news for Villa fans. At the Show, the
DVLA has details of their latest number plate sell off. Included in
those up for grabs are the ultimate his and hers plates for die-hard
Villa fans : ‘A5 TON’ and ‘V1 LLA’. West Bromwich Albion fans have not
been forgotten as ‘1 WBA’ also goes under the hammer. The auction will
be at Ragley Hall in nearby Alcester on November 2 and 3. If you wish to contact us either : PHONE 0121 444
