NELLY – HOT ALL OVER –

The Unauthorised Story

DVD Release

CAT NO. DEMONDVDM010

Release date – 28th August 2006              Label - demonVision

Nelly – Hot All Over – The Unauthorised Story - This one and a half hour documentary, shows the rise and rise of 3 times Grammy Award Winner, Hip Hop rap artist Nelly - one of the freshest stars ever to grace the land of Hip Hop.

This the first DVD ever to be released about Nelly and it follows his story and ambitions – from his brief career in minor league baseball to his meteoric rise to the top of the heap in Hip Hop, selling nearly 30 million albums worldwide. Nelly has topped both the US and UK album and singles charts several times.   His chart success in the UK includes 4 top 20 albums the first being Country Grammar which charted at 14.  This was followed by Nellyville which hit no. 2 and featured the single, “Hot In Herre” which peaked at No.4 followed closely by his no. 1 UK single "Dilemma," with vocals by Kelly Rowland of Destiny's Child.   In September 2006, Nelly is featured on the new Janet Jackson single “Call on Me”.

Hot All Over features exclusive footage of fellow rap stars Snoop Doggy Dog, Dr. Dre and Eminem alongside an account of Nelly’s collaboration with Kelly Rowland of Destiny Child.  It also examines his film soundtrack work on Training Day featuring Denzil Washington and his acting career.

Cornell Hayes Jr. who has become known to the world as performing artist Nelly, was born in Austin, Texas.  His father was in the army so the family moved around, finally settling in St. Louis.  When Nelly made it big he took his first band the St. Lunatics with him.  We hear about his war with KRS1 as well as his support for his brother, rapper, City Spud who is in prison (Nelly wears a band aid on his cheek to express solidarity with his incarcerated brother).

Hot All Over introduces you to this rapper – if you’re a fan, you can’t afford to miss it – to quote his trademark chant “E.I., E.I.”  (“yes bring it on!”)
