Noddy and his friends have been entertaining children for generations and
now he’s back in a brand new 60th anniversary live theatre tour. The show
has been on a sell out tour since July 2009 visiting theatres across the
country and the dates for 2010 have now been announced. See tour list below
Its an exciting day in Toy Town, it’s Noddy and Tessie Bear’s sing-a-long,
dance-a-long party and everyone is invited to join in the fun… everyone that
is except those two naughty Goblins, Sly and Gobbo who are out to spoil the
fun with another of their crazy machines from Goblin Gizmo’s – The Sound
Sucker!
But don’t worry as our hero Noddy is keeping an eye on those two and knows
exactly how to stay one step ahead of their games, despite their crazy
antics to try to ruin the party. With Mr Plod, Whiz the Robot, Bumpy Dog,
Car and of course Big Ears, today promises to be one big fun filled
adventure.
The show features all the favourite Toy Town characters in 90 minutes of
fantastic Noddy fun, and is an enchanting introduction to live theatre for 3
– 7 year olds.
“When my two year old daughter found out she was going to see
Noddy in
Toyland her mouth fell open and her eyes bulged. To her Noddy is a demi-god,
movie-star, pop-idol, guru and favourite toy all merged into one. Actually
seeing Noddy, well it's as good as Christmas isn't it? The evangelical
frenzy of a theatre full of toddlers whooping, cheering, clapping as Noddy
drives his car onto the stage and the sing-and-dance party finale goes off
with a bang .It was fantastic fun.“ News Shopper July 2009
“The show was practically flawless and the performances themselves were
meritorious…..A deliciously energetic Sly and his slightly dim-witted
partner in crime Gobbo proved to be superb …Winterford and King took full
advantage to bound around the stage, helping to keep the sprightly pace of
the performance and on several occasions raised raucous peals of
laughter….the show’s songs have some very nice messages. Noddy and Big Ears
sing about their friendship and how they will “always be best friends” in a
sincere ballad that even had the usher by the door swaying in time…..The
performance ends with a rousing sing-a-long of jaunty children’s songs.
