THE NEW BIRMINGHAM SUPER PRIXWould you like to see motor racing back on the streets of Birmingham, just like in the late 1980's and early 90's. We are trying to bring together as many individuals, businesses and organisations as we can to try to make this happen again. It could bring huge benefits to the region, but it needs as much support as possible to make it happen. WIN TICKETS TO THE
NATIONAL MODEL RAILWAY EXHIBITION
Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th December 2003
The NEC

The premier event of the model railway world, The National Model Railway Exhibition returns to The NEC for the 11th time on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th December 2003.   The show is organised by Warley Model Railway Club and is also their 36th annual exhibition.

Sir William McAlpine, a life long railway enthusiast and also patron of the Warley club, will officially open the National Model Railway Exhibition at 9.45am on the Saturday morning.  The show promises to be one of the best ever and features some 70 model railways in most of the popular scales and gauges including two from outside the UK.   A very important facet of the show is its ‘educational’ aspect, which includes more than 20 demonstrations of the various skills associated with model railways.   Many of the demonstrations will be of the hands-on ‘Shows you how’ type and the highly successful Junior Modellers Corner is being repeated, where kids can ‘have a go’ under guidance but without interference from dad – they also get to keep what they make.

Static models will be on display by clubs from all around the UK, the Kinver Model Engineering Club will have very large-scale models and Pop Idol judge Pete Waterman will be there with some of his Gauge 1 Collection.   Last but by no means least there will be around 130 specialist trade stands where you can buy everything from a rivet to a complete railway.

One day tickets purchased in advance are priced £6.50 adult, £4.50 child/senior citizens and £18.00 for Family tickets (2 adults and up to 3 children).  Two day tickets purchased in advance are priced £12.00 adult and £8.00 child/senior citizens.      One day tickets purchased on the door are priced £8.00 adult, £5.50 child/senior citizens and £23.00 for Family tickets (2 adults and up to 3 children).  Two day tickets purchased on the door are priced £14.00 adult, £9.50 child and senior citizens.   All tickets are subject to booking fee.  Tickets can be booked on-line at www.necgroup.co.uk/boxoffice or from The NEC Box Office on 0121 767 4099.
