Whether you are an experienced web user or contemplating buying your first PC, The Safe Internet Show, taking place from 22-25 October 2004 at the NEC, Birmingham will provide an exciting, practical day out for all the family to explore the wonders of the web whilst learning how to deal with viruses, hackers, e-mail spam, or concerns about children.

The Safe Internet Show will incorporate interactive features and educational advice sessions highlighting the multitude of benefits of the Internet for the whole family, as well as tips on avoiding the hidden dangers. Topics covered include:

Ø       Safe surfing for children – top tips and advice on encouraging children to use the Internet safely, from safe surfing to downloading music.

Ø       Online security and privacy – guidance for shopping and banking online in a secure environment. 
Ø       Virus arena – covering everything from virus formats to defence against viruses and common cures.  
Ø       E-mail arena – top tips on tackling spam and efficient use of your e-mail system. 
Ø       Chat Room Live - a role-playing game illustrating how to safeguard your conversations online 
Ø       Safe Internet Surgery – Q&A session covering the most common Internet questions and expert advice on individual problems. 

The show is supported by The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) and Mobile Data Association.
