EVENT:                      ‘THE SECRET GARDEN’

The enchanting illuminated trail, ‘The Secret Garden’ that winds around the magnificent 15 acres at Birmingham Botanical Gardens, will be ‘revealed’ again in the late autumn this year for nine selected evenings only.

This magical event now has a regular following of its own and many visitors return year after year.  The sophisticated lighting set against the natural backdrop of the Garden’s magnificent collection of trees and plants create some breath-taking effects and make this a visit to remember.  There are some new lighting effects this year to capture the imagination.  Special sound effects and gentle music will also enhance the almost mystical atmosphere.  Even for regular visitors this is the special opportunity each year to see the Gardens as never before.

Santa – every night for younger visitors

Mulled wine and mince pies will be on sale in The Gallery

Seasonal music on the Terrace between 6pm and 7.30pm

Alternative light refreshments will be on sale in the Pavilion tearoom.

The ‘Shop at the Gardens’ will remain open for each of these evening for late night shopping.

Advance tickets are available at £5 for adults and senior citizens and at £2.50 for students and children under 16.  Tickets will also be available on the door at each of the special event evenings at £7.00 and £3.00 respectively.  Advance prices apply to tickets purchased at least 24 hours in advance.  Children under 5 free at all times.

Special Group rate for minimum 20 adults/senior citizens at £4.00 for adults and senior citizens and at £2.00 for students and children.
