Seni03 – the Martial Arts and combat sports show takes place at The NEC, Birmingham on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th April 2003. After four successful years, this cutting edge festival will host spectacular demonstrations, world-class super bouts, lifestyle arenas, master classes and workshops and an exclusive new power and fitness zone! Read on to find out how you could be there and catch all of the action for free… Seni03 is a unique show which has become the biggest exhibition and festival for martial arts in Europe with leading suppliers spectacularly showcasing innovative product ranges. Seni03 is formulated and designed with the martial arts fanatic in mind. It encourages those that are interested, intrigued or fanatic about martial arts to come along and experience the very best martial arts has to offer. The Lifestyle area will focus on natural therapy, alternative medicine, yoga, pilates and relaxation. It will also provide the opportunity to view forthcoming videos to the market and see the latest fashions in the martial arts world with regular catwalk shows and provide a Q&A platform for some of today’s TV celebrities you never knew practiced martial arts!
The Traditional Zone, in association with Combat Magazine, is home to Lei Tai and Tatami. Lei Tai is for Chinese and South East Asian arts and culture such as Tai Chi, Kung Fu, JKD, Kali, Gatka, Eskrima to name just a few. Whilst Tatami is for Japanese, Korean arts and South American arts such as Karate, Kendo, Judo, Ju Jitsu, Fencing, Capoeria and Taekwondo. Between them the Lei Tai and Tatami provide the most spectacular and unique displays and bouts seen anywhere in the world. The Power and Fitness Zone is an interactive area where visitors can put themselves to the physical challenge, watch or even take part in power lifting displays, arm wrestling or physical contests or simply seek advice and general information on health and nutrition. Boxing, Kickboxing, Thai and Wrestling take place in the SeniRing, which is hosted by London’s famous Peacock gym. This explosive area is set to host everything from amateur boxing through to world kickboxing title bouts. It’s 35 years since Enter the Dragon, the most famous martial arts film was made, and in celebration Seni03 has joined up with the official UK Bruce Lee Fan Club to celebrate the making of this milestone movie. The event will feature never seen before interviews with cast and producers and give visitors the opportunity to learn, discuss, interact, share thoughts, ask questions and understand how this monumental movie was made on such a low budget, but with such a high impact. Other unmissable features at this event include the Seni Power Pit, this power and fitness zone includes everything from Bodybuilding, Martial Fitness, Strongman and fitness challenges. Whilst the Mixed Martial Arts area will see submission fighters and wrestlers exchange ideas on large matted areas under expert supervision and guidance. Advanced tickets are priced at £6.00 adult and £3.00 for children under 11. On the door tickets are priced £8.00 adult and £4.00 for children under 11. And, if one day does not seem enough time to see everything, you can purchase in advance, a weekend pass for £10.00 adults and £5.00 for children.
