  "Sewing for Pleasure", Britain's most popular sewing and craft show, returns to the NEC to bring you all that's new and exciting in the world of textiles. Learn more about crafts such as embroidery,patchwork and quilting, lacemaking, dressmaking, crochet, silk printing and lots more! or browse amongst over 175 stands offering all the latest products and those hard to find supplies.

Informative talks and colourful slide presentations will take place throughout the day in the Lecture Theatres or you can try your hand at something new in the Just-a-Taste area. Check out the programmes on arrival to see what you fancy.

This year visitors will have the chance to see a magnificent collection of gowns worn by celebrated film stars in famous films in theHOLLYWOODSTARSdisplay. Among other surprises, will be costumes worn by Madonna in "Evita" and Elizabeth Taylor in "Toscanini".

Julie Christie as Queen Gertrude in Kenneth Branagh's Hamlet (1996) and Angelica Huston in the Hollywood Blockbuster "Ever After" (1998)

Liv Tyler as Tatyana in "Onegin" (1999) and the copy of a Dior dress worn by Madonna in "Evita" (1996)

Also on display in the display area will be a collection of sampler quilts by students of international quilter Lynne Edwards who will also be at the show to help with quilting queries.There will be a travelling artists' exhibition of applique, beadwork and three-dimensional mixed media, along with embroidery, creative work by talented youngsters and much more!

On Saturday and Sunday, take the children along to visit the special areas for young crafters.

"Sewing for Pleasure" offers four days packed with ideas ,displays, demonstrations, talks and shopping.
