SIBILA'S VEGETARIAN RESTAURANT

Canal Square, Browning Street, Birmingham B16 8EH

 0121 456 7634.

Sibila's vegetarian restaurant is in Body and Being - the holistic day spa situated in Canal Square near Brindleyplace, just off Sheepcote Street.

Sibila's, with it's welcoming, modern interior and splendid view of the canal is far from the old-fashioned idea of a vegetarian restaurant i.e. cheap and cheerful with lots of brown rice and check tablecloths. However, as can be seen from the sample menu below, prices are very reasonable with prices for a starter at around £3 - £4 and the ample main courses for around £7 - £8.

Sibila Strazicic-Cincotti, the Croatian-Italian chef shows her  passion for vegetarian food by having created a menu which blends many different cultures and is full of culinary surprises. There is something to suit all tastes here and don't think that it can only be enjoyed by vegetarians - Robert, a confirmed meat-eater really enjoyed his meal, particularly the hearty Wild Mushroom and Chestnut Casserole with mashed potatoes and green vegetables. All our choices were delicious and we even found room for one of Sibila's  puddings - enjoying poached pears and raspberry and cranberry cheesecake - both equally  mouthwatering.

All the food is organic and there is also a large selection of beverages available including both organic and non-organic wine.

So, for somewhere which is pleasant, stylish and a little bit different, we would certainly recommend a visit to Sibila's.

Sibila's restaurant is open six days a week from 11:00 am and serves a buffet lunch and from Tuesday to Saturday evenings  (NB closed on Mondays and from 5 to 6 pm each afternoon)
