TATTOO TAKES TO THE SKIES AT THE NIA

The Birmingham Tattoo takes to the skies at the NIA on 29 and 30 November as the Band of the Army Air Corps, who are based at the School of Army Aviation at Middle Wallop, join this spectacular annual event.

Their distinctive light blue berets and ceremonial dress, combined with their unique musical skills, makes the Band of the Army Air Corps much sought after across the world.

The band will join other leading performers at this year's Tattoo to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Her Majesty The Queen's Coronation.

This year's spectacular event will feature Massed Bands, including The Band of The Dragoon Guards, The Band of the Royal British Legion plus pipers from the Royal Scots Association, The Central Band of the White Russian Army, together with The Lone Piper, to mention just a few.

The event will feature some of the world's finest military musicians - combined with a wealth of other exciting displays including dog display teams, a Napoleonic battle re-enactment, a fire and rescue display, Irish dancers, the massed chorus and culminating in a spectacular Grand Finale.

Tickets for Birmingham Tattoo can be purchased on-line at www.necgroup.co.uk/boxoffice or 0870 909 4144 - priced £9 to £15.50 plus booking fee.
