WIN TICKETS TO THE
BIRMINGHAM TATTOO’S 20TH ANNIVERSARY

World-class entertainment will be on parade for this year’s
special 20th Anniversary Birmingham Tattoo
at The NIA, Birmingham, on
Saturday 29 November and Sunday 30 November.
The organisers have pulled out all the stops for this year’s 20th
anniversary Birmingham Tattoo and have
secured the world famous Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines and the popular
Band of the Brigade of Gurkhas - who will be joined by their traditional
Nepalese dancers performing their famous Khukuri Dance - the Regimental Band
of the Royal Netherlands Grenadiers & Rifles and, from the Tyrol in Austria,
the Straden Band. Also taking part in the Tattoo this year is the National
Youth Massed Band that brings together many individual youth marching bands.
All the traditional elements of the Tattoo are present - from the Massed
Bands, Parade of Standards, Field Gun Competition, Lone Piper and the
spectacular Grand Finale which will feature the British Tenor Tim Pitman and
will include the patriotic favourite ‘Land of Hope and Glory’.
Complementing the Massed Bands, this year's
Birmingham Tattoo also features many displays that are sure to
appeal to all the family. An exciting display from the Kangaroos ‘Edwardian’
Gymnastic Display Team will leave the audience on the edge of their seats,
whilst the Inter-Service Field Gun Competition will carry on a tradition
that draws its origins from the siege of Ladysmith during the Boer War.
In addition, the British Flyball Association Dog Competition will give an
excellent display of obedience and skill, whilst the United Kingdom Disco
Dancers will impress everyone with their energetic performance.
Of course The Birmingham Tattoo would
not be complete without the ever-popular Closing Ceremony that will feature
the Royal Air Force Cosford Queen's Colour, the traditional Land of Hope and
Glory, the Evening Hymn and the Lone Piper. This year's event has something
for everyone and, with only two performances to choose from, tickets are
already selling quickly.
