Warley National Model Railway Exhibition, the UK’s Premier Model Railway show, opens its doors for what has become a world renowned event.
This year sees over 85 layouts on show with exhibitors from the UK, Europe including Holland and Luxemburg. As usual there will be a huge trade interest with over 150 stands including all the major manufacturers and most of the smaller ones, launching their latest products and selling those rare items that modellers require for the hobby.
Once again there will be an opportunity to experience Pete Waterman’s ‘Building Leamington Spa’ presentation in the DVD cinema, presented by Pete with a new DVD of the layout and including a display of some of the models featured in this superb O gauge line, owned by the Waterman Railways Heritage Trust.
Also courtesy of Pete Waterman, there will be a display by the Waterman Railway Trust Junior Engineers Scheme.
For the younger enthusiast ‘Junior Modellers Corner’ will include a number of layouts built with younger modellers in mind.
At the centre of the display this year will be a real steam locomotive, ex Southern Railway / British Railways USA tank from the Bluebell Railway.
Following success in earlier years in association with Bachmann Europe we have produced two limited edition Tank Wagons in 4mm 00 gauge. The limited run of 500 in Brotherton livery will only be available at the exhibition and retail at £10 each. In addition to these our club charity ‘ Charity Link’ has commissioned a limited edition run of 250 wagons, being a sand wagon in the livery of Harry Whitehouse of Stourport.
