DISNEY LIVE! A NEW FAMILY STAGE SHOW
BRINGS WINNIE THE POOH TO BIRMINGHAM

NIA Academy
19th - 24th April, 2005.
The world’s most famous children’s character, Winnie the Pooh,
and his friends are coming to Birmingham as part of Disney Live!’s first ever UK
tour in a “splendiferous” interactive stage show.
Disney Live! Winnie the Pooh, is a new stage
show designed especially for children and comes to the
NIA Academy between 19th and 24th April,
2005.
The brand new show includes all of Winnie the Pooh’s friends including Piglet,
Owl, Kanga and Roo, Rabbit and the infamous Tigger.
Throughout the show audience members are encouraged to participate with telling
the story as Winnie the Pooh’s friends prepare a surprise birthday party for
him. The audience can dance along with Pooh, bounce with Tigger, and play with
larger-than-life inflatable vegetables. Another feature of the show is a
delightful journey through the seasons, including an actual snowfall in the
auditorium.
Three Hunny Helpers provide acrobatic and comic additions to the storyline as
well as helping the narrator to involve the audience with telling the story.
During the show the audience is encouraged to join in with singing the famous
Winnie the Pooh songs including new arrangements of ‘Winnie the Pooh’ and ‘The
Whoop-De-Dooper Bounce’ by Musical Director David Loud.
State-of-the-art digital projection along with extravagant and lavish set
designs take audience members from Birmingham right into the thick of the
Hundred Acre Wood to experience the delightful world of Winnie the Pooh.
Disney Live! is a new international touring stage show from Feld Entertainment,
the producers of Disney On Ice. Kenneth Feld is chairman and CEO of Feld
Entertainment.
“Disney Live! Winnie the Pooh on stage offers audiences young and old an
unforgettable live entertainment experience and a chance to see Winnie the Pooh
like never before.
“When the audience walks in and sees the set before them, they will feel like
they are walking right into the Hundred Acre Wood. For many children, this will
be their first theatrical experience, which will set the bar for what they
expect to see for the rest of their lives,” said Mr Feld.
