THE NATIONAL HOMEBUILDING
If you are interested in increasing the value of your current home,
saving up to 30% on a new home or are simply looking for ideas to get you
started on a renovation, a visit to the National
Homebuilding and Renovating Show is a must. Whatever your needs,
taste and budget, creating your own home will enable you to choose everything
you have always wanted. Now in its thirteenth year, the Show at The
NEC, Birmingham, from 4th to 7th March 2004 will feature around
400 exhibitors, free seminars, an ‘Ask the Experts’ forum, money-off deals
and much, much more. TV presenter and Editor of Homebuilding & Renovating
Magazine, Michael Holmes, will be on hand at the show with his team of
experts to advise visitors on how to realise their dream home.
![]() Even the prizes are better than ever. Visitors have the chance to win £10,000 worth of fantastic prizes for the home. One lucky winner will be able to choose from either a cast-iron Aga or Rayburn cooker or contemporary stainless steel Falcon 1092 Deluxe range cooker worth up to £6,000. Fired Earth Interiors are offering £1,200 worth of hand-made tiles and paint, which will make any home something quite special. Elgin & Hall, who are renowned for their beautiful hand-finished fire surrounds, have joined with Coalbrookdale stoves to offer a classic combination to grace any fireplace, valued at £2,752.
New at the 2004 Show will be the Green Village, an innovative feature of 24 of the most eco-friendly companies. Supported by the Association for Environment Conscious Building, the Show has responded to the demand from private house builders who want to minimise the impact of their projects on the environment. Show director, Nick Noble, commented: “Our research suggests that for many self-builders a ‘green’ house is one of the main motivating factors when deciding to take on such an ambitious project.” Nick continued: “There have always been plenty of eco-friendly products available at the Show but the Green Village will bring together some of the key exhibitors in a much more accessible way”.
Norwich and Peterborough Building Society have been sponsoring this Show for 7 years and are often one of the first ports of call for visitors. As more people from all walks of life want to make the most of their property prospects, the range of mortgages available has increased significantly. So, whether you are self-employed, retired or just starting out, N&P, along with a number of other organisations who can help with finance, can all be found at the Show. With a comprehensive free programme of seminars, the exhibition will put you in touch with products, services, suppliers, expert advice and inspiration to craft the sort of tailor-made home that dreams are made of. Taking place daily in two theatres, the twelve seminar sessions are always popular with visitors to the Show. As unique sources of expert advice and information, free tickets are issued on a first-come, first-served basis, so visitors should get there early to avoid disappointment.
These seminars are supported on the Homebuilding & Renovating magazine stand where Editor, Michael Holmes, host an ‘Ask The Experts’ forum. Michael and his team of experts, including speakers from the seminars, will be available for one-on-one consultations that could save you up to £100 an hour in fees!
