GermanWings new winter flights on sale at real bargain prices

- At 5.00 pm today, Germanwings, Germany's premiere low-cost airline, will open its new 2005/2006 winter schedule for booking. Within the new winter schedule, Germanwings will offer an extended range of flights to and from Berlin and Stuttgart and increase its network and frequency from its bases to accommodate a growing demand for flights into the new EU accession countries.

For bargain hunters who are quick off the mark, the new winter schedule offers travellers the opportunity to pick up flights from as little as £13 per flight for the period from 30 October 2005 to 25 March 2006. The new routes are especially exciting for UK customers based in Birmingham and Edinburgh, who are increasingly using Germanwings Cologne/Bonn base to connect on to other European cities.

Dr Joachim Klein, Chairman of Germanwings' Board of Directors, said "Anyone looking out for low-cost flights when the nights draw in should book now. Since ticket prices rise as the departure date approaches, it's best to take advantage now for the cheapest prices".

In its new Winter schedule, Germanwings will:

Increase frequency between Stuttgart and Hamburg
Increase frequency between Berlin and Stockholm and Berlin and Zagreb
Add new routes from Berlin to Olso, Prague and Warsaw
